What is known
The Razorclaws preserve old workings, rare ores and dangerous heat-bearing stone. Their forge and relic traditions are distributed across a range, not concentrated in one giant volcano.

A long volcanic chain on Vorkaroth's northern frontier.
The volcanic crown
The Razorclaw Peaks form a severe volcanic range above Vorkaroth. Snow, black rock and geothermal vents create abrupt changes in terrain. Forge communities value the mineral wealth, while mounted clans treat several high approaches as dangerous but necessary summer routes.
Fire, metal and authority
Control of ore and furnace sites gives the forge communities influence within the Crown-Moot. Clans provide transport and defence, river towns provide food and markets. None can exploit the range alone, which is why arguments over mining rights quickly become national disputes.
Essan beneath unstable stone
Heat and unusual mineral deposits can conceal or imitate signs of Essan activity. Investigators risk awakening old structures or causing ordinary geological disaster. Myaks may exploit the uncertainty, presenting sabotage as an eruption or an illicit excavation as routine mining.
