Harbour-side prosperity
Silk House stands behind a discreet sandstone facade in a quieter, prosperous lane within walking distance of the harbour. Inside, cool tile, polished wood, painted screens, music and incense soften the noise of Aventis. It lies at a social seam: a dry public fountain nearby contrasts with water flowing behind private gates.
How the city works
Aventis is one city arranged in six rising bands: harbour basin, working terraces, merchant and sacred districts, civic heights, Talventis, and Karn-Amun.
Its visible waterways and hidden conduits descend from the mountain, distributing water and grounded Essan through temples, cisterns, fountains and harbour channels.
